Raising Money For Tony
My best friend Bitch Eyes and his lovely wife Mrs. Bitch Eyes (who for the remainder of this post will be called Bill and Carol) have a blended family. When they fell madly in love with one another, Bill was raising his three girls and Carol was raising her three boys. A real life Brady Bunch!
Tony, Carol’s youngest son suffers from CKD or Chronic Kidney Disease and recently started receiving dialysis treatments. He is on a kidney donor list and is patiently waiting for a new kidney. Dialysis is of course not easy for anyone, but especially for a 35 year old single dad raising his son on his own and working a full time job. Tony’s spirits remain high and he never has a negative thing to say about his situation.
A benefit was recently held for Tony to help raise money for his medical expenses. Carol spent months preparing for the benefit by finding just the right place to hold the event, gathering donations for the giveaways, asking for volunteers, planning the food menu, advertising and everything else involved with planning such a large gathering. Carol did an EXCELLENT job and would do just about anything to help her son through this time!
Family and friends from everywhere came together to help Tony and his family and to have a fun afternoon.
What would a party be without a DJ?
After eating a fantastic lunch, everyone could browse for dessert at the bake sale or try their luck in the cake walk.
Tickets could be purchased for a chance to win several awesome prizes!
The benefit was a great success and a lot of money was raised for a terrific cause. Everyone in attendance had a lot of fun and I was honored when asked to be the event photographer.
Best of luck Tony!
Thanks Gary that was really nice of you!
My pleasure Carol!
Good luck to you Tony. Let’s hope there’s a kidney match soon.
Best of luck to Tony and his family. There’s no end to a Mother’s and Father’s love for their children. They would go to the ends of the Earth and jump in front of speeding bullets and trains for their children. No questions asked!
Great photos Gary! Nice to see ya again 🙂
Thanks Sherri and I will be back home VERY soon! 🙂
Great job, Gary, and best of luck to Tony. What a fantastic family he has, pulling together like that.
I wish all the very best to Carol and Tony . I hope Tony gets the kidney and things become happy once again 🙂
Prayers and warm wishes go out to Tony and his family.
Your DJ looks familiar….Bridgette and Rob! 🙂
I honestly don’t know their names Jamie. Carol would know. 🙂
I know them…Rob is my sister-n-law’s cousin and Bridgette is his wife, nice couple. 🙂
Awesome! 🙂
