MICHAEL CONNELLY!!! Sorry I shouted. He is the best writer ever. His characters are v real, the dialoge and situations believable, and the stories draw one in and keeps one’s attention. Start with the Harry Bosh novels. Wow!!

(Oh and, R.I.P. to Robert B. Parker writer of the “Spencer” novels.)

L.J. Smith ….oh wait the vampire diaries aren’t fiction are they! 😉

That’s easy. Roald Dahl, hands down. His style is so easy to read, and it sucks you right into the story. His ideas are delightfully, simply wicked, appropriate for both children and adults.

    John Steinbeck
