Out With 2009 and in With 2010

January 4, 2010

2009 has expired and a new year has been welcomed in. We rang in 2010 here at home with just the family. No big parties for us this year. We did have one guest here to help us ring in the New Year and she is slowly becoming part of the family. My son’s girlfriend Erin stayed at our house New Year’s Eve and returned home on the 2nd day of the New Year. If you haven’t heard by now, Erin is the daughter of the famous Javajunkee of Just for the -ell of it.

I met Javajunkee (Lisa) and Erin half way between our homes which is about a half hour drive for the both of us. Erin and I stopped and picked up Nick from work and went home. Nick and Erin changed clothes and then it was off to the Botanical Center for a little photo shoot of the love birds. I’m hoping to get those photos onto my blog very soon so keep your eyes peeled for those. After the photo shoot and returning home, we ordered a pizza and played some cards until 2009 expired and 2010 begun. We had a lot of fun as a family while watching the ball drop in Time Square on TV and snacking on snack foods. Below are a few photos from New Years Eve.

New Years Day was spent here at home as well. Everyone slept in late because of being up so late the night before. Paula cooked a delicious turkey dinner and we watched movies. It was a nice relaxing day and I’m so glad that Erin could be here with us over the holiday. I hope she didn’t think we were TOO weird. LOL

I hope all of you had a happy and safe New Year!

She is slowly becoming part of the family for sure. As you can see, I am already pretty comfortable with her and she doesn’t seem to mind my big ass on her too much. LOL

LOL! My son’s girlfriend is just a doll and I love her to death. And I have to admit to having the same worries as you… I hope she doesn’t think WE’RE too weird. But I know we are. We embrace our weirdness!

Erin looks very comfy with your family. Looks like a good time was had by all!

OMG, you are too much Gary!!! The picture I thought was the funniest was the one with Paula b/c she’s wedged in between those two as tight as she can be! LOL! Glad you guys are all so happy 🙂

    • January 4, 2010 6:30 PM

She did have to literally shake her ass quite a bit to get in between them. Those two are tied at the hips. 😀

      • January 4, 2010 7:21 PM

Uh-oh! Tied at the hips?! Gary, you of all adults should know what happens when that happens!!!! HA ha ha! Little Gary’s running everywhere! Ha ha ha!!!

I know, it’s kinds scary! Lisa is at that cute grandma stage in her life but I’m just not ready for anything like that. LOL
