Will you be hosting Christmas in your home this year or visiting someone else’s home? If traveling, how far do you have to go?

Having Christmas Eve at my house with my siblings and their families. Christmas Day we’re off to the in-laws’ house (about 8 miles away.)

It’s nice that you don’t have far to travel then. 😀

Christmas Eve at Mum’s. Christmas Day at our’s. Boxing Day at Sister In Law’s. Loads of food. Much of it non-traditional. (Spaghetti at Mum’s and Minestrone soup at our’s)

Oh and none of the homes are more than 25 miles away. Many of those attending however live VERY far away. (Younger Brother in Virginia. Neice in South Carolina)

So you don’t have TOO far to travel but some other are traveling quite a distance. That’s nice! 😀

My sister and brother-in-law will be here 2 days after Christmas. Tom, the kids and I will celebrate as scheduled, but will probably extend the over-eating into next week.

You certainly not alone on the over-eating extension Jean. LOL

Christmas Eve is at my parents ( half mile to the North) and Christmas Day is at Joy’s house (half mile to the South)! With this freaking blizzard coming I’m really glad I don’t have to go far!

So you have two places to go that will be a total distance of a mile. NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!

We always do Christmas eve at my mom’s place. We do Christmas day at our house. Then we go to our mountain home….about 2 hours away….and stay till New Year’s weekend. We will have 15 guests. I can not wait! Time to sing, dance, and have fun….fun….fun! 🙂

That sounds AWESOME Luisa! Can I get an invite for next year maybe? 😉

We will be going to Paula’s sister and brother-in-law’s house on Christmas eve and on Christmas day this year. They only live one mile from us so we don’t have far to go at all! 😀

I just travelled all the way to Europe to see my family… WORST travelling ever. I was initially supposed to leave Saturday, but my flight was cancelled because of the storm (after sitting at the gate for 3 hrs and the runway for another 3 hours!!). Then we got to stand in a line for 4 hrs re-booking our flight… the only flight before x-mas left the east coast yesterday… flew to Oslo, Noway. Had a 6 hour lay-over there…. then some mechanical issue with the plane…but finally took off and got to my final destination exactly 24 hours after leaving my parents house in the US, UGGHHHH I hate winter travel and am jealous of all of you living so close to family.

Wow! What a pain in the caboose! I’m sorry to hear about all your travel woes Lucy. I know the winter storms made traveling difficult earlier this week. I am however glad you FINALLY made it though. 😀

That is a nice feature of going somewhere else for the holidays. You can leave whenever you want. 😀
