It seems like only yesterday we were bringing you to your new home with us on that cold February day. You were swept away by your breeders at the tender age of ten weeks and driven an hour and a half where your mother and I were waiting to meet you for the first time. We met you and your breeders in the parking lot of a shopping center and it was love at first sight. Within five minutes of our hour long car ride home, you managed to get sick and make mom ride almost the entire way home with your puke on her lap and legs. Good times little buddy….good times!
You grew like a weed and have learned a lot in your first year. You learned where to poop and pee and where NOT to poop and pee. You know how to sit and kinda know how to shake. You got over getting sick on a car ride and now LOVE to ride. You figured out that walking on a leash really isn’t that bad and that the leash is only so long. You figured out that if I throw a ball and you go get it and bring it back to me, I will throw it again and again until you are just too tired to go get it. You learned that if you lift your leg to pee instead of squatting, you can pee farther and with better accuracy. You learned that if you want a complete stranger to pet you all you have to do is look at them because nobody can seem to resist you. I have seen you make grown men that are complete strangers talk baby talk to you and not be embarrassed. You have come a long way little buddy!
So here is to all the good times we have had together this year Brody! The car rides together, camping, walks, playing fetch, watching TV, golf cart riding, duck chasing, fishing and so much more.
Thanks for making me smile every day and bringing so much joy into our lives. We love you little buddy!
