Burial_Mask“Egyptian Burial Mask”

Things like this amaze me! The burial mask on this mummy is 4000 years old. 4 THOUSAND years old! This mummy and burial mask are in remarkable conditions for being that old.

AMAZING!

    That is amazingly preserved.
I’m surprised there’s not any bling. That could be gold leaf though.

I think the dude inside the mask is wearing a grill. You just can’t see it behind the mask.

Luisa is sure brave to want to collect these.
If I wake up to them in my house, I’d have the heebedijeebies 😦

      Thanks Arch!

I don’t know if it would freak me out waking up to them or not? I think they are pretty cool but I don’t think Paula would like it. She scares too easily. πŸ˜‰

I’m fascinated with Egyptian archaeology. Whenever I visit an exhibit, I take my time peering into the cases closely studying every detail of mummies, sarcophagus’s, earthenware, etc!!

And.. I have no superstitions about it like some do. In fact.. I was the only person on an entire tour to walk down in a recently unearthed Mayan burial crypt!
