What an awesome weekend! The resort held their annual Summer Fun Fest for resort members and families today. You couldn’t have asked for better weather and the fun started in the morning and lasted all day and into the night.

A bounce house was setup all day for the kids to bounce out their energy. Parents enjoyed watching their children getting the energy sucked out of them. Also for the kids was face painting, ring toss games, bean bag toss game, card games, crafts, pool races, pool volleyball, capture the flag, bingo, a scavenger hunt, pony rides, goat chariot rides and root beer floats.

There was a Jello eating contest for kids and adults as well. Paula and I didn’t participate in the contest, however our son Ryan won third place for his age category and was awarded an awesome medal.

Also available for kids and adults were hayrack rides around the resort and an egg toss. Paula and I won second place in the adult egg toss.

There was a summer dessert bake off contest with trophies awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, adults only. Last but certainly not least, at 7:00pm Junior Talley performed as Elvis on the clubhouse patio. I swear this guy has to be Elvis’s long lost brother or something. Not only did he look IDENTICAL to Elvis but he could shake and sounded just like Elvis.

It was really a lot of fun and we are already looking forward to next years Summer Fun Fest.

Oh yes, we ALL turned some heads that weekend with our mohawks. LOL Elvis looked at as all rather strangely while he was singing. 🙂

Acid green could be cool! I was thinking about maybe a flamingo pink also. LOL
