Gone Camping
Well dear readers, the time has finally arrived and I couldn’t be more excited. What is making me so excited that I feel like jumping up and down and screaming ‘YES’ at the top of my lungs you ask? Those of you that follow me on Twitter have probably already guessed but for those of you that don’t, it’s time to go camping!
Late yesterday afternoon into last night my oldest son and I started preparing for the first camping trip of the season. We replaced the battery in the camper, filled our propane tanks, checked our fishing gear, brought out the new grill and told our camper how much we missed her in the off season. I must admit, it was hard to leave her at the resort one more night all by her lonesome. Nick and I wanted to sleep there last night but she is still in “storage row”.
This morning I will be making a grocery list for the weekend, packing up our clothes and bedding, going to the grocery store and heading out to the camper to move it into a camping site in the late afternoon. Logan and I will be camping alone the first night and Nick and Paula will be coming out on Friday. Our good friends are pulling their camper in beside us tomorrow as well and will be coming out for the weekend Friday after work. It’s gonna be LOADS of fun!
I do however have one concern about this year’s camping season. My concern is that my readers will forget all about “Gary’s World” and stop being a reader. Rest assured that I WILL be blogging from the resort and posting them when I return home. There will be plenty of good stories, photos and good old fashioned crap that you have come to read and enjoy here. 🙂 I will also be tweeting while camping so be looking for those and feel free to tweet me up my peeps. I don’t want to let my “growler” fans down and you know who you are. 😉
So without further ado, I am officially hanging up the “Gone Camping” sign for the next two weeks. Take care and may you live long and prosper!

I hope you and your family have a grand time! I personally HATE camping. My idea of roughing it is a hotel without complimentary breakfast. I love hiking, exploring, etc. but give me a bed with private bath at night, thank you.
Don’t make Paula work too hard. Have loads of fun with your boys. I’ll miss your daily blog but not the “growler.” I’m not a big fan of the “growler” myself. Hope you don’t cause problems with the camper’s plumbing. You’ll probably have to have it emptied every-other day then. Gosh. Now you have me engaging in bog talk!!

First of all I love that picture! So cute and yes that camper is cute too! Sounds like huge fun Gary, I hope you have a wonderful time, and will look for your tweets! I have a little Camper Envy I would love to have a little camper with a kitchen, and just pull it around and visit everywhere!

Awesome! I LOVE camping too! But real camping-in a TENT! J/k that is awesome, and now that we have a baby I so wish we had an RV! One day! That picture of your son (I think) is so, so adorable!! Take care. Enjoy!! In the NW Washington here there are so many state parks and beautiful scenary. You remind me I got to make reservations, We got to try it with the baby at least!!
