Do you own a push mower or a riding mower?

I have an electric push mower! It’s probably not the best mower but I live in Arizona and the grass doesn’t grow that fast here!

    • May 13, 2009 12:39 PM

You could probably get away with just a weed wacker in Arizona. 😉

  2. May 13, 2009 6:29 AM

One would need a lawn to own either one of those…

  3. May 13, 2009 7:46 AM

    push

  4. May 13, 2009 8:21 AM

when we first moved out here this is all we had to cut our lawn with…

now that was a work out! It’s still under our deck now all rusty and crap. For 2 summers that’s what I used to mow our lawn.

    • May 13, 2009 12:45 PM

I have mowed several lawns with a mower like that. NOT FUN!

  5. May 13, 2009 9:13 AM

Oh, we have a REAL MAN’S lawnmower!! It drives like a damn bobcat and neither Sue or I can drive it. I HATE it!!!! I love to mow the lawn and haven’t been able to since we got this stupid thing. We’ve also had accidents on it and it’s a danger to society!!

    • May 13, 2009 12:48 PM

ROFLMAO!! I can just see you driving this thing with Sue chasing you around the yard trying to get it to stop. LOL

Oh no, it wasn’t us that was dumb enough to climb on it without proper instructions!!!! We know better!

        • May 13, 2009 5:54 PM

LOL….yeah….but it’s still funny to picture the scene in my mind. 😉

  6. May 13, 2009 9:43 AM

For several years we had a ride on mower. I loved mowing the lawn. If I had a choice, I’d choose cutting the grass over vacuuming any day. It was my stress buster. Alas, life got crazy and we’ve had to outsource lawn care.

  7. May 13, 2009 9:45 AM

BTW, we’re in the middle of such a wicked drought, that I’m afraid what’s left of the grass might spontaneously combust.

    • May 13, 2009 12:52 PM

Really? It’s raining pretty hard here today!! We are far from a drought here in Illinois.

I smell a team building exercise! You could be mowing with someone else and high five as you pass each other. Gotta say, I’m a little jealous Doraz!

      • May 13, 2009 1:00 PM

Thanks for painting that funny photo in my mind. LOL

A push mower at our house. We go to Navar’s Mom’s property she has a riding lawn mover it’s a very large grassy area. Now that I’m reading this post I realize that our lawn needs it’s first cut of the year. Lets hope it rains. LOL

  10. May 13, 2009 11:24 AM

My husband owns a push mower! I have only cut the grass once in my entire life and that was because the big baby, I mean my husband broke his toe! He couldn’t believe he had to teach me how to mow the yard.

    • May 13, 2009 12:59 PM

ROFLMAO!!! I have NEVER EVER seen my wife mow a lawn! She “claims” she knows how but has yet to prove it! LOL In her defense, she has TERRIBLE allergies and me to do it. LOL

My dad has a push. I’m surprised he hasn’t made me mow his lawn since I moved back from school…

    • May 13, 2009 1:00 PM

Me either! I’d be getting your ass out there to mow. LOL

  12. May 13, 2009 1:39 PM

I mow my lawn with a push mower. A red Toro actually. 😀

We use a riding lawn mower now. When we first moved in, I had a push mower that I’d use on half the yard. Forget that! We mow about 2 acres so the push mower didn’t last long.

    • May 13, 2009 5:54 PM

I bet mowing 2 acres wouldn’t last long for anyone!! LOL

  14. May 13, 2009 7:09 PM

I don’t do lawns or windows or a lot of other crap around the house. That’s why I have a son-in-law. I think he uses gas in his lawnmower and I certainly don’t think he sits on it. I do like to watch him working up a sweat. It’s good for the young ones to work hard and the older ones to enjoy watching them work hard. 😉

    • May 13, 2009 7:57 PM

      Hi Joan!

      Thanks for dropping by!!

Maybe I should look into getting one of those son-in-law’s?? How much are they anyway???

      • May 13, 2009 10:51 PM

If you work it right you live with the son-in-law and your daughter and they pay for everything so basically it’s free. I do have to cook for them but I like my cooking better than theirs.

        • May 14, 2009 6:38 PM

Wow…..sounds like you got a good gig going on Joan!! That’s AWESOME!!

Our mower looks a lot like this Honda. Ours is a Honda and it is a niiiice one.
It is self propelled and we have a large suburban property of 1/3 acre.

    • May 13, 2009 8:08 PM

Sounds like a beauty Rosemary!! Honda makes a good product for sure!! 😀

We have one of each. The push mower is self propelled which is great. Our yard is very sloped and the riding mower intimidates me. I’m very cautious if I have to mow.

    • May 14, 2009 6:38 PM

Yeah, those self propelled mowers are NICE!! Mine in propelled only by me. LOL I’m glad I have a nice flat yard. Many of our neighbors have sloped lawns and I watch them and am thankful I don’t have to mess with it. Be careful!!!

  18. May 13, 2009 11:40 PM

DOES A PLOW WITH TWO JACKASSES COUNT? THAT IS WHAT I FEEL LIKE EVERYTIME I HAVE TO MOW THE DAMN LAWN. I HAVE A PUSH MOWER THAT LOVES TO THROW ROCKS, TREE LIMBS, DOG POOP, AND WHATEVER ELSE AT ME!

    • May 14, 2009 6:39 PM

I feel for you on the dog poop and rock slinging. LOL

  19. May 13, 2009 11:44 PM

I PUT UP A 6 FOOT FENCE THIS LAST WEEKEND SO I CAN NOW MOW THE LAWN NUDE IF I WANT! SHIT I HATE LOOKING AT MYSELF IN THE MIRROR NAKED BEFORE GETTING IN THE SHOWER! I DO NOT THINK MY NEIGHBORS WOULD WANT TO SEE MY BRIGHT BIG FAT WHITE ASS NAKED EITHER! WHAT A THOUGHT, HUH????

    • May 14, 2009 6:39 PM

Thank you for that mental picture Madman. NOT!! LOL

Well I have to say Gary I don’t have much of a yard. The little I do is owned by the landlord so he takes care of it. But just for giggles, when I get a house I would like to have a push mower. Or maybe a tractor. You know that song, “She thinks my tractors sexy.” Yes, I would be sexy. Yes, indeed.

NO WOMAN NO CRY—NO LAWNS NO MOWER.

Makes perfect sense! LOVE the Bob Marley tune!

  22. May 15, 2009 11:13 AM

Push, it would take me having A LOT of land to use a riding mower. I like mowing my yard, it’s great exercise!!! I have never even been on a ridding mower!
